Hey everyone! First of all, Happy Holidays!!! Gosh, time really flies. Christmas is in 5 days. where is everyone going for christmas? i'm going to celebrate in good old brunei and maybe go to the beach for some bbq party with the cousins. I'll be in miri on New Years Eve, who wants to tag along? (im serious. lol)

Wow, its been nearly two months since i started working, and i must say I've learned a lot. I've made friends with my boss (LOL) its hard not to, you know, we have the same wavelength. If you think my laugh is contagious, her's is, i kid you not, two times as contagious. however, as much as i love my job, im hoping to quit in june/july so i can go back to college.

So, i just spent 6 hours of my sunday morning watching Titanic and Pearl Harbor. Yeah i was THAT bored lol Both films were okay, but what what saddened me about the movie Titanic was that people were dying because they weren't rich, babies were being deserted and left to die alone by parents, wives had to watch their beloved husbands freeze to death!! Pearl Harbor, where should I start? There is nothing more sacred than two lifelong pal's best friendship. The bond these guys shared was strong enough to motivate one to actually bring out the good in an abusive father by standing up to him. BUT what breaks the friendship apart you got it as always .... A woman. Yes I know she thought he was dead but still when you separate from him you are separated from his friend as well. and whats more worse, the Pearl Harbor film is historically inaccurate. hahahha

First of all, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all my Muslim friends!
I haven't been feeling well- fever+flu+sweating like there's no tomorrow. im afraid to go to the doc cause i seem to have the symptoms for swine *touchwood!*
Got invited to many open houses, i would definitely go if it wasn't for the flu. so sorry ah guys, thanks for the invitation though :)

last night, while doing the ear-cleaning routine with a Q-Tip, I removed the Q-Tip from my ear and imagine my shockhorror when the cotton tip was missing! The cotton tip got stucked in my ear and I couldn't get it out! At this point i got really panicked and started yelling at everyone including my dad who was taking his nap lol
It didn't exactly hurt or impair my hearing, but knowing that a bit of cotton was lodged in my ear was somewhat freaky.

So my dad brought me to the nearest hospital, the doc tried to get it out but couldn't. and the cotton went even deeper. At this point i really lost hope liao and thinking "omg im really going to be deaf" He then suggested me to go to Ripas A&E Department. When we arrived it was nearly 10 and the hospital was still packed with people, most of them seemed to have an asthma attack or something. We waited for like 2 hours ( Emergency, HA!) before my name was called.
D: "So whats wrong? Asthma?"
Me: "Uhmmm no. There's a cotton bud stucked in my left ear"
He looked at me for like 5 secs and said "Oh" It was sooo obvious he was trying so hard not to laugh. God i was soo embarassed!

He said the ear drum is not protected by anything other than the cartilage surrounding it. He used a special syringe to pull it, and the darned piece of cotton came out in less than 5 minutes. (Pheewwww!!)

And then he started giving me lectures blahblah. I wasnt really listening cause i was sooo sleepy ( it was already 12++) He said something like we should never never ever clean our ears with Q-tips. The ear has its own internal cleaning mechanism. Fats and oils in the ear canal trap any particles and transport them out of the ear as wax. This falls out of the ear without us noticing.
When we try to clean the ear, this wax gets pushed back and compacted.

Got home at nearly 1am. I'll probably never go near Q-tips again. hahaha

Have i ever mentioned that i have a malay great-granduncle?

Well actually he's the younger brother of my great-grandfather.
We talk to him in malay, and he would always reply us in his malayish-hokkien. Never failed to make us laugh.

Anyway, one of his daughters is getting married tomorrow and everyone in my super-big extended family is invited. That'd be at least 70 of us. Jerudong Polo Club in the afternoon, and Asma Hotel at night.

The thing is, I have no proper attire to wear to the wedding. You know, I dont want to be Inda Majalis (sp?), but I dont have nice baju kurungs, indakan aku pakai t-shirt and jeans kan? goshhh. Maybe i should just wear my graduation baju. HAHAHAHAH. but seriously. haha

I passed my driving test! Piece of cake, really. (after 23 hours of learning!!) It only took me less than 20 mins! However my left leg( yup only left one lol) was shaking like mad when i was doing the parking test. The funny thing was, my driving instuctor who was like 20m from me kept shouting from far " Bah PUSING!!!!" "STOP!" "pijak line kuning!!" eh cikgu calm down bah , i know what im doing lah ok karang the pegawai can hear you bah hahahah

The pegawai was super nice he even tarik the handbrake for me masa balancing di bukit. =)
And i was asked to follow route 3, the shortest of the three routes.

Now that i can legally drive, things are going to be a whole lot easier. But there's one thing i totally dislike and i know most of the time i have no choice but to do it, "Bah eh later you pick up your sister at school ah. 2 pm "

Oh well its already 4th Jan and i know its a lil too late for a new year post lol but just came back from Miri and didn't have internet there =.="

What an interesting year 2008 was. Erm maybe 'interesting' is not so appropriate lah but i cant think of a better word as my vocab is like so limited =.="

2009 should be a better year for me.

Damn i just created a brand new blog. LOL. second time. Shouldn't have deleted the old blog really. But hey was really hesistating last time when i wanted to delete it cos i was having A levels and was really stressful plus had no time to update. The moment i clicked the 'delete' button, i regretted. wtf.

But anyways, im back peepos!!

Speaking of christmas, i was really pissed when i got a call from W at 3AM just to wish me merry xmas. Eh its freakin 3 in the morning okay!!! You ruined my beauty sleep!!! LOL.

W: Hey, MERRY CHISTMASSSSS!!!!! (yeah, he shouted. i went halfdeaf terus)

Me: huh? *bangang*

W: its Xmas over there right?

Me: *checks clock* yeah it is AND ITS FREAKIN 3 IN THE MORNING!! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA AT ALL??

W: Oppsss, sorry i guess i totally forgot about the time difference, again. HAHAHAHAHAH...

Me: *annoyed* WHY are you laughing??

W: Because you sound like a.....pig. =.=" did you just wake up or what? *still laughing*

i hung up terus. Yeah he's always this annoying can?

Anyways, yesterday the ever-so-lovely CM invited a couple of us to her crib for a small christmas eve dinner/haya's supposedly surprised birthday gathering. (not THAT surprise after all cos she kinda expected it sudah hehe)

5 of us altogether, CheahWen, Aman, Felicia, Haya and yours truly. Too bad mich couldn't make it and chingteng only came for like 10 mins? then balik. before i datang lagitu. cheh. haha

So thanks CM!! I had a great time really and the food was heavenly!! <3
